HAPPY SUMMER!

Hello everyone. There is a busy summer ahead, so let me let you all in on whats going on here at the Dismantle helm.

First, as you may know, I play in a noise band called Winters In Osaka. This summer marks our 11th year as a project. After a few busy years of releases and shows, I have decided to put the project on hiatus. There is still a few releases on the way though, including the split cd with OWWL, the split 7 inch with Pine Barrens and the collaboration LP with Smegma. It might be a long time until we play again, so thank you to everyone who has supported us!

Now, this does not mean that I am not going to stay busy. On top of an intense school and work schedule, I will continue to tour/play shows/record with Sick/Tired, Paucities and Urine Cop. On top of this, I have started a new-as of yet unnamed hardcore project. This project will involve me going to Italy and Brazil next year to record and play shows, but more on that as it develops.

Speaking of new bands, here is a new project I am drumming in!

I will also be focusing my attentions towards a new blog, which I will debut by summer's end.

I am all out of the S.M.E.S. cd! Thanks to all the distros that picked this up-Rotten Roll Rex, GetPissedStayPissed, Black Hole, Bizarre Leprous, BuriedInHell and of course Fusty Cunt still has copies as well.

Finally, I am happy to announce that Dismantle will be releasing an 8 way split 7 inch at the end of year with Final Exit / xAbruptx / Gorgonized Dorks / Smile / Pizza Hifive / Powercup / Human Junk / THC.

DEATH CRUISE, sold out releases and more

Things have been busy as usual here at the Dismantle helm.

First, endless thanks and praise to everyone who picked up the Amps For Christ/WIO split LP, and the Men As Witches 7 inch. I am now out of both titles. Ebullition helped wth taking most of the MAW albums, and you can also find the record in some killer distros like Black Hole Proudctions, GetPissedStayPissed, Witch Bukkake, Lupus, Tugid Animal and more.

The releases, here never end, and I am happy to announce DIS-014: the debut tape from Death Cruise entitled "The Yacht Club Sessions". Little is know about this mysterious bearded experimental project (from Chicago by way of Belarus by way of Toronto by way of Mars), but from what I hear there is already plenty more to come.This is awesome since this c30 sounds like it completed during a week long cough syrup binge while baking in the hot sun.

MT COAST "BEACH ++"

DIS-012 has finally been released, and comes in the form of an amazing album from Il artist Jeff Milam, 1/2 of the band Battleship. This album should appeal to fans of Keith Fullerton Whitman, Autechre and Rene Hell. Pick up and experience what will hands down be the experimental record of the year. What a honor it is to release this!

MEN AS WITCHES "DRONE AND DOMINATION"

After a rejected test press, and delayed record jackets, DIS-08 is finally out. Men As Witches have been destroying it live for a while now in Chicago, and I have had the pleasure to get to know these two guys very well while working on this 7 inch with them.

3 crushing tracks, which remind me of the powerviolence formula of switching from insanely fast to agonizing slow at the drop of a dime, but this does not attempt to be a cheap imitation of those classic California bands. This is much more darker and fucked up.

7 inch comes on screenprinted thick black paper and fold out poster. Co released with Witch Bukkake Records and Lupus.

The  MT Coast LP will be up for orders next week as well, and the Rita/Worker split LP should be out soon as well!

S.M.E.S. "The Way We Roll"

Dismantle catalog number 013 comes in the form of a new cd from cybergrind pioneer S.M.E.S. The one man project of Erwin, formerly of Last Days of Humanity and currently in Urine Cop, has been ruining the ears of pornogrind, goregrind and grindcore freaks for many years. This new album, entitled "The Way We Roll" is a classic slab of groovy cybergrind.

Dismantle is about to get really busy, with the Men As Witches 7 inch, the WIO/Amps for Christ LP and MT Coast LP ll ready to be unloaded in the next few weeks.

It's been forever since I have updated this blog. Lots of exciting things going on here at Dismantle.

First off, DIS-09 has been released. It is a collaboration between Winters In Osaka and Japanese improv guitar legend-Tetuzi Akiyama! We are all very excited about how this one turned out! Limited to 100, artwork by Kriss Stress and co released with Chicago's own Notes and Bolts label! Men As Witches is a killer two piece Chicago band( these two dudes also spend their time in another killer grindcore band-Worn Out). Men As Witches switches it up from crushing slow to blistering fast at the drop of a dime. Vocals remind me of Plutocracy and Agents of Satan, and the music will also appeal to fans of that genre. Dismantle Records is proud to be putting out a 7 inch for this band. So, in the meantime, check out their bandcamp page and get stoked for what will be an album that makes a lot of top 10 of the year lists.This is a co release with Turgid Animal Records.

I have been a fan of this band for many years, and it is with great pleasure that I am able to do this album. One sided flexi, co released with Death Agony and Screams. First one hundred copies come with a fold out cover and buttons. Fans of Fear of God, Sore Throat, 7 Minutes of Nausea, Gorgonized Dorks and old Anal Cunt will love this. "Gate of Heretics" was recorded at the end of 2011, and is a live recording session with Adam Jennings, playing alongside Bruce Lamont of Bloodiest and Yakuza on sax and effects, and Toney Vast-Binder of Harpoon and 7000 Dying Rats providing vocal noise. This c40 goes in many directions, starting off as a perfect late night creeper, accented by Bruce's delayed sax and Jennings' decayed loops of slowed down gongs, with Toney coughing and spitting and gagging over the almost beautiful piece-however this one soon turns ugly and harsh as one would expect.
